Zepbound Vials Dose Calculator
Units to milligrams for Zepbound single-dose vials.
That equals
2mg
Always verify against your vial and pharmacy label. Concentrations differ between products and batches — a vial reading 5 mg / 0.5 mL is 10 mg/mL, not 5. If your number here doesn't match what your prescriber told you, stop and call your pharmacy.
Reading Zepbound vials
Zepbound (tirzepatide) single-dose vials are supplied at a set strength per 0.5 mL. The two most common are 2.5 mg / 0.5 mL (= 5 mg/mL) and 5 mg / 0.5 mL (= 10 mg/mL). Because they're single-dose, you normally draw the full 0.5 mL, but this tool lets you confirm the mg for whatever units you draw.
Don't confuse strength with concentration
“2.5 mg / 0.5 mL” means the concentration is 5 mg/mL — the 0.5 mL is the volume, not the concentration. The presets above already do that conversion for you; just pick the strength on your vial.
Frequently asked
- How many units are in a 2.5 mg Zepbound vial?
- A 2.5 mg / 0.5 mL vial is 5 mg/mL, so the full 0.5 mL is 50 units on a U-100 syringe. Half of it (25 units) would be 1.25 mg.
- Should I draw the whole Zepbound vial?
- Zepbound vials are single-dose, so typically yes — but follow your prescriber and pharmacy instructions exactly. Use this tool only to confirm the mg, not to change your dose.
