Our review

Bolt Pharmacy (Bolt Healthcare Ltd, GPhC registration 9013085, Blackburn) is a fully online pharmacy: a free eligibility quiz and photo verification lead to clinical review by CQC-registered partner AIOS Technology Ltd, with Bolt itself dispensing. Pricing is subscription-based, from £59/month for Wegovy and £149/month for Mounjaro on Subscribe & Save, plus a £30 first-month discount. It holds a 4.5 Trustpilot rating from around 5,000 reviews; reviewers report fast, discreet delivery but also describe payment and refund issues, including duplicate charges. On 29 July 2026 the ASA upheld a ruling against Bolt Healthcare Ltd for Facebook ads breaching CAP Code rule 12.12 by promoting prescription-only weight-loss medicines to the public, and the company was separately named in an MHRA advertising-investigations update requiring it to amend its ad-to-consultation journey; its CQC-registered clinical partner has not yet been inspected. Best for price-conscious subscribers comfortable with a provider under active advertising scrutiny.

Things to know

  • ASA ruling against Bolt Healthcare Ltd upheld 29 July 2026: Facebook ads found to breach CAP Code rule 12.12 by promoting prescription-only weight-loss medicines (Wegovy, Mounjaro) to the public; company ordered to stop and revise its ad-to-consultation user journey.
  • Named (as Bolt Healthcare Ltd, t/a Bolt Pharmacy and Fella Health) in an MHRA advertising-investigations update (~March 2026) as one of two pharmacies that had to amend weight-loss injection advertising after an MHRA warning.
  • Falls under the GPhC's September 2025 sector-wide enforcement notice on advertising of weight-management POMs.
  • One Trustpilot review alleged the company charged a patient before clinician review of their assessment, characterised by the reviewer as a breach of GPhC standards (unverified allegation from a single review, not a confirmed regulator finding).
  • CQC-registered clinical partner (AIOS Technology Ltd) has not yet been inspected (registered Jan 2026), so no independent quality rating exists yet.
